ARLENE SANDERS is an Appalachian Mountain writer. She is a native of Virginia and a lifelong Southerner. Sanders has received Pushcart Prize nominations for "Tiger Burning Bright," "Auction," "Fire and Ice," and "Wish You Were Here." Her first story collection, TIGER BURNING BRIGHT, was honored as a Finalist in the Jefferson Press Prize for Best New Voice in Fiction Competition.
