My stories are influenced by actual events that may or may not have taken place here in my hometown of New Monia, Republic of Texas. I am only an instrument that relates the unusual which here in New Monia is not that unusual. I take it all in and give it back as I see it.  Now that can be scary for the faint of imagination.      The art of the short story is fascinating to me, especially if the teller can bring the tale to a conclusion in an efficient number of words; at the same time, I see no reason to leave out the juicy stuff if it comes with the territory. Having moved freely among musicians, storytellers and sleight of handers for the past 60 years I feel compelled that some events need to be shared. Here's hoping you get a smile by my style.       

Veteran US Navy '67-71 served aboard the USS Ranger and USS Oriskany in the Tonkin Gulf. Have caught and eaten a lot of fish. Won a transistor radio once but it was stolen the next day.
