I never dreamed I would ever write a book.  It all began when I painted an acrylic on canvas painting for my grandaughter.   It showed Princess Carol dancing in a field of flowers with her birthstone in her crown and captioned "Princess Carol in her Garden".   A customer saw it and as the saying goes, the rest is history.  And then one day, I realized that I had 'bought into' the princess mania that sweeps our country.   In order to redeem myself, I wrote "On Being a REAL Princess, Secrets of the Happy Heart Princess".  Sixteen princesses from around the world espouse affirmations related to values, self esteem and decision making.   Each affirmation suggests a related jouurnaling activity.   This book is a great tool for parents, educators, counselors and caregivers in addressing those issues that face our young girls.  This book is appropriate for ages 6 to 12.   However, some of my adult friends have purchase this book for their female friends as the affirmations in this book are timeless and things we all need to be reminded of.
