Her major influences in childhood were L.Frank Baum, C.S. Lewis, and Andrew Lang's Fairy Books. Currently she admires C.J. Cherryh, Ursula LeGuin, Rex Stout, Charles Williams, C.S.Lewis, and Tolkien.
