My job saving lives for the last 30 years was a major influence in creating this book. I have seen things that will curl your hair, almost breaking your spirit, because of the tragedies witnessed. Friends who have died because of the risk they took and the lives saved due to my fellow rescuers numbing themselves to the horrors of this profession.
