Genealogy and photography have been my avocation and source of enjoyment for years.      I was always very self-conscious about  my writing skills until I studied a required writing course - Writing About Literature.   It was the best course I ever took as it taught me about Poetry -- about the use of words -- why we choose one over another.   I thank my Professor for that!   He taught me that writing and revising and revising until I want to scream is the only way to write.   My aim is to learn more about myself and others as I begin my journey of writing poetry.
