Information
Phillip's work has been influenced by a number of major Australian poets, including Kenneth Slessor and Christopher Brennan, and other poets such as Mallarme and Ernest Dowson of the late nineteenth century. He has developed an abiding interest in both speculative poetry, and contemporary Australian poetry, and he is undertaking a number of editorial, critical and scholarly projects to further the study of both fields.
Phillip has self-published a small number of poetry publications, and has had The Flayed Man, a poetry collection, published by Gary William Crawford's Gothic Press, and Symptoms Positive and Negative, another collection, published by Picaro Press. He will have a third collection published by Hippocampus Press, in a doube-sided edition with C. D. Whateley's Time Machine. He also has a concordance also available from Hippocampus Press; this is available for purchase as a hardcover book, or for a free download as a pdf file.
Phillip has edited Calenture, a journal of studies in speculative poetry. He has also edited one issue of Contemporary Rhyme and both AustralianReader.com, and a number of poetry blogs.
