Amber Harvey has a background in teaching and counselling.  She has been writing since childhood and brings a wealth of insight and experience to the characters she creates.  Growing up reading L.M.Montgomery's Anne books, beginning with Anne of Green Gables, Louisa May Alcott's Little Women, and Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, Amber Harvey wants today's children to read about adventurous heroes and heroines.  Her heroes and heroines live in the Gulf Islands, off the coast of British Columbia, Canada.
