I have enjoyed writing most of my adult life but got serious about it as I worked at The Henry Ford's Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan.  There, I portrayed an 1850 barkeeper, Silas Cully, with all Silas' stories and jokes,  I knew there was a book there.  My first book, Silas Cully's Tavern Tales was the result of that effort.   Later came a book that grew out of my research into my wife's historic family - Our Silent Song.  Then, while talking to my friend, famed musician, Kenneth "Spider Webb" Rice, we decided I was the one to help him tell his story.  That book, published in England, is Webb Untangled.  My stab at presenting Christian theology - Lion on the Loose was published and available.  Most recently  - My Shorts: A Collection of Short Stories about Life, Death and Laughter, many of the short stories and other works I have wriitten over the years. Included is a story version of a play I wrote called, "Black and White and Read All Over". It's about the first white reporter hired at a Detroit Black-owned newspaper.  

Certified Lay Minister by the United Church of Christ and served as a supply preacher in that and other denominations. Ordained by a non-denominational ministry in Detroit, Michigan and heads the Christian Compass Ministries in California with a mission in the Philippines. Now serving as a minister at the historic Johnson Chapel, African Methodist Episcopal Church in Santa Ana, California.
