About 20 years ago I wrote and self-published two novels and in the time since continued as a newspaper copyeditor, worked as a freelance editor, and tutored elementary, high school, and college students. Those intervening decades have served me well and allowed an accumulation of thoughts, experiences, and ambition (along with pages and pages of notes) to return to the keyboard and take my writing in a new direction. With that, I completed my novel "Look for Something Good," which happily was accepted by Vertu Publishing and joined their lineup in February 2023. I am very grateful to Vertu and enjoyed working with them. I have written a second novel, am returning to the market for a publisher, and am working on a third book. My writing continues.

Accomplishments
To test the waters, I submitted a condensed chapter from my third novel to a writing contest that required submissions of 95 words, no more, no less. My entry took second place (and, yes, there were more than two entries).
