Information
John Steinbeck and William Faulkner were the two writers who influenced me most I have published three books. "Henry Rains, 1767-1838, the Rains family of Yellow Creek," a history; "Kentucky Bad Boy", a collection of short stories, and "The Shaman's Daughter", a collection of Appalachian mountains stories. I am currently writing a novel about the Feuds of Eastern KY, and another collection of short stories, as of yet unnamed.

4th. place in the Flannery O'Conner award contest, 2005. I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling, and work as a volunteer for Urban Ministries, a ministry to the homeless in Charlotte, NC. I am past president of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, and for Charlotte Rehabilitation Homes, a place for recovery.
