The major influence in me starting to write was the author David Gemmell. I wanted to write heroic fantasy like he does. Unfortunately, that never worked out as I kept wanting to insert humorous asides and comedic characters. The end result was humorous heroic fantasy. I got the best of both worlds. I had heroes, villains and quests to satisfy my creative side, and humour to satisfy my, er, creative side. Hmmmm. Must think of a better way to describe that. Anyway, something must have worked as I signed my first publishing contract in June 2002, resulting in my debut novel, Reluctant Heroes being released in February 2003. 

My first novel, Reluctant Heroes, was re-released in 2007, closely followed by Cronan the Librarian in 2008. Both titles are humorous fantasy and were added to Amazon's Kindle list early 2011. I have also self-published another humorous tome entitled Bruvvers in Arms via Kindle. In November 2011 my occult based thriller, Of Light and Shadow, was released. This is the first in a three book series known as the Duncan Connors Trilogy. November 2013 is the anticipated date for book number two, working title 'Faith'. Inbetween times I have had a number of short stories published.
