For over twenty years I have worked in hospitals and residential settings in dealing with crisis situations that include children. Working with patients and other professionals, I have developed different types of mental tools to help deal with what may seem to be an insurmountable problem. Life’s hectic pace hinders parents’ ability to support children in dealing with negative influences. When de-escalating anger, the question arises, “What are the influences that triggered the problem?” There are many different backgrounds and identities that I have learned to embrace, simply with compassion and dignity. The dream I have had for sometime now is to reach back and 'pay it forward'. I want to inspire children and their parents to follow simple stories with a big message. Hopefully these stories can touch their hearts and change their minds. My belief is that children who learn to read can imagine their own future. Please allow me and other creative artisans to take you on this adventure.
