I  wrote growing up but never really finished what I started,  A few years ago I started Nursing School and last fall in 2009, I needed a break. I kept having this recurring dream about a young woman in the North sea, it was dark and the woman struggled to get to a light house off in the distance.  I wrote  the dream and Kate London crept inside my head and wouldn't leave. I had to tell her story. It was wonderful when I was finished, not because I hated writing it but because I actually finished something!  In The Land Of Winter was first published in May of 2010.   I actually miss Kate and the other charcaters now.  Kate is a heart wrenching and gripping character and different from anything I have ever read.  I am sometimes amazed that I had the power to created her. I am motivated to write by the simple fact I enjoy it, and I think about my characters even when I'm not writing. I'm working on my second book Learning In The Dark.
