When I was eighteen I had a very serious bike accident and broke my spine in three places. They doctors said I would never walk again - but I proved them wrong. I have always believed that the mind can repair the body.Soon after I was 'released' from hospital, my brother who was living in Bali bought me a ticket to visit him for two weeks. I didn't leave for another seven years. At that time my brother, who now lives in Hollywood, had just started a fashion company call 'Uluwatu Fashions'. He needed some help as he knew nothing about fashion - neither did I. But over the next few years we made it into the best known lace company in Indonesia, exporting all around the world. Durring those years we explored new surf spots throughout Indonesia - one I will always remember was when we surfed a small island off Lombok - the whole island came to the beach to watch. They thought  we were running on the water. They treated us like kings and put on a great feast for us. We had many wonderful adventures such as this. A year or so later I decided to have a Yacht made in Boreno. It took about two years to complete. During that time I met a Japanese lady, who is now my wife. We and two other friends sailed the 59ft yacht, which had nothing in except a kerosene stove and river rocks for balace - no engine, around Indonesia. We had many adventures such as being chased by pirates, held on an island by the natives, almost sunk by an errupting volcano, to name a few. After that I ran out of money so we decided to move to Japan and look for work. After a very short stint as a model in Tokyo we moved to the coast were the surf was good. I got a job as an English teacher at a nuclaer power station. I quit the job after a few months and started my own school which has exspanded into three. I now live between Australia, Bali and Japan. I have two daughters, the eldder is a professional beach volleyball player in Japan, the other is attendind her final two years of high school at dance school in Sydney. My writing has been very influenced by Asian  culture. I use many of their festivals, ceromonies and basically anything I think I can change a little to fit in my stories. I hope you enjoy my stories.
