Raised in an orphanage.  Remember mother dropping me off and emphatically & desperately extracting a promise from the nun because she "wanted me to know God."  That was her sole frenzied request and at 8 became the first deep quandry in my life besides the wonder of why she entrusted others with her only child & left.   Being abandoned by family I was left to look for "that which sustains" on my own... After unshackling the dogmatic Catholic upbringing and welcoming the true, based in the original, or, natural law...  re:  the laws of science, in particular health.  my interest & persuasion was based on touchable results.  Fasting and the first law understanding of the natural healers became the premise from which I test all.  Such great respect for these great men who had unshakable faith in the real and have proven its worth in timely human transformations from sick to well.  And, also, the very well of heart & soul and one of the first powerful influences of this human:  secrets found in the anthropology book telling the stats of percent learned behavior vs. instinct we homo sapiens as well as all higher mamals ~  (those who breast feed their young) enjoy.  From this I really came to understand:  "We are created in the image of God."  As such we are able to unlearn something detrimental and learn something better.  This fact that we are creatures who are not based in instinct.  We depend on learned behavior.  But, as thinking creatures, we can unlearn & re-learn!  So, we are very powerful, indeed.   Major influences were varied but still hold the same value now as then.My very own experiences were to become the stronghold from which I perceive existence & share. I am confident this journey into self deepens & sustains through all manner of turmoil even death. I love all my teachers and I am happy to have this kindness magnify in deep wisdom & contentment even if only momentarily. "One glimpse is not enough!", Soguel Rinpoche's shouted caution in his "Glimpses"  echoes soul's constant yogic yearning in my heart.
