Starting out writing poetry when I was young, my words grew to much greater things.  I now have seven titles out now, with many ideas for books to come.  I write fiction books, including a four books series "Dream Mountain" Series.  My latest book is THE BEGGAR.  You can email me at authorthompson@yahoo.com.  My first book, one which was never published, was called Secrets of the Heart.   I wrote it in my early twenties and it was a learning experience.  So when I started Buried, But Not Forgotten, I got a lot of the bugs out of my writing.  You live and learn.  Buried, is one book that many people can relate to.  It's a coming of age story about a young woman who has many things buried deep inside of her, trying to get out.  In the end, the truth shows its ugly head, but helps her to move forward knowing she'll be just fine. Born and raised in Arkansas, with much support from my family in regards to my talent in writing, I continued on with the "Dream Mountain" Series which has done very well.  It is set in the mid 50's in the Mountains of Arkansas.  This story is about LIzzy a young woman who dreams of better things.  Her family is poor, but somehow the love they all have for each other can help them through anything.  She goes through a lot of trials, but money isn't the factor that gets her through it, it's the closeness she finds in family and a new found life partner.   For anyone who wants to learn a life lesson, each one of the books in this seris, will definitely do that.  I recently started an event that will be an annual one, taking place in Texarkana AR.  It's the FALL "Gathering of Authors" showcasing 25 or more authors within our regional area, as well as a few well-known authors.  It is also an event benefiting a very worthy charity - St. Jude.  This combination of literacy and Charity, will make for a memorable event every year as people come out, meet the authors, and bring the kids so they will know how important it is to read and learn more and more.  I started this so that the talented writers in our midst would get recognized. I keep my foundation in God because I know without him, I couldn't accomplish anything.  My faith keeps me going and I know I have a talent for writing because he wants me to use it.  I hope my readers feel that when they read my books. I have several book ideas that will end up being just as inspirational as the ones before, keeping my reputation one of honor.  Keep reading and keep the faith.
