At the age of 18 I found the love for poetry and have been inspired by many poets such as; Edgar Allan Poe, Shakespeare, Maya Angelou, and Nikki Giovanni.  I spent many years secretly writing poetry.  At age 39 I decided I wanted to be a published poet and at age 42 I published my first book of poetry Soft Whispers from Heaven.  My main purpose as a writer is to inspire and to give my readers a postive outlook about everything in life.  So today I can truly say I am living my passion being a inspirational writer and poet.
