It may sound as if I had no struggles while attempting to earn some money and fame, but nothing could be farther from the truth.  In the writing field, you are judged mainly by the appropriate article you write. An editor doesn't really care if you have a master's degree or wrote a complete book at age eight.  "What have you done lately?" is the refrain.  I learned quickly  never to count on any sale.        I started freelance writing for magazines and an occasional book as a way to stay home with my five children.  In 1992 I published what I intended to be my last book.  Instead, it became a New York Times best-seller, titled WHERE ANGELS WALK.  This book, which is still in print after TWENTY years, led to six others on angels and miracles.  My eighth, for dog-lovers, was released last spring (ANGELIC TAILS).  I now have my own website to post more stories.  I am a terrible klutz on the computer, and will gladly marry any fifth-grade boy who can operate the spellcheck.  http://joanwanderson.com
