I know I’m a great author and poet, why don’t book publishers know it?

Background Information

I've always been a letter writer, but didn't start writing in earnest until the year 2000. It was something I'd always wanted to do, but never found the time. I now regret not starting earlier. Writing I find is the easy part, the hardest part is the editing. After a session of editing, I can finish up removing half of my work. However, the end sesult makes it all worth while.

I've had 73 poems published in various magazines around the world and I've also got one book published, which can be purchased from http://stores.lulu.com/john_silkstone  either as an e-book or paperback, or you can purchase a signed copy by contacting me.

A friend and I have written four books which have yet to find a publisher, The working titles are:

1.   The Immortal Thirteenth Disciple.

2   The Four Keys to Atlantis.

3   Before time Began.

4   The Jesus Cup.

The first three being a trilogy, the fouth one is about one of the main characters in books two and three.

Accomplishments

I ran a creative writing group for five years and was publisher and editor of a poetry magazine called ‘The Longford Writers.’ which was published for English writing prisoners from around the world. The magazine founded by Liz Hoyal and myself, won the runner up prize in 2005 of the Lord Longford awards which is issued by the UK Independent Newspaper. It was after winning the award that the name of the magazine was changed from ‘One to One’ to The Longford Writers.
