I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and attended Robert E. Lee Elementary School and West Side Jr. High School.  When I was in the ninth grade, my family and I moved to Bryant, Arkansas where I attended Bryant Jr. and Sr. High Schools.  While at Bryant High School, I discovered my talent and love for writing.  I was a member of the school newspaper, "The Hornet's Buzz"  and "The Literary Hornet", to which I had published several short stories and poems. After marriage, I became too busy to write and lost interest in it.  Then, when my husband and I adopted Baby Kitty, the subject of my first book, I kept thinking that some day I would write a book about him, but I kept putting it off. Then, my sister, J. M. (Joyce) Price published her first book and encouraged me to write my book and have it published.  I have now written and published  my first children's book, "The Cat Who Couldn't Purr".  This book is about how Baby Kitty adopted us and how he learned to purr.  This book can  be purchased from Amazon.com and b&n.com.
