Kara Lynn Lorthridge was born in Long Beach California to parents Frank Lorthridge and Linda Stevenson. Kara was raised in Corona, CA until the age of 15, and later relocated to Las Vegas, NV.  Even though Kara grew up in a split household, both of her parents taught her how to love, work hard, and pray even harder! Both of her parents played a very influential part in her upbringing. The values that they instilled in her at an early age, would later help her to face the many hard truths about life.   Kara's purpose in life is to speak redemption to those who have lost their hope. Doubtless her gift of writing comes from God. I have never seen anyone who could take what you feel and put it into words. Her gift of writing is so diverse.  Kara has spoken at many venues from funeral services, high tea events, and church services just to name a few. No matter the occasion she always provides such passion, insight, and love. She will leave you speechless, uplifted, happy, and victorious. Kara is not just another spoken word artist that will fade away into the shadows. Kara is a true Poet, her gift of writing will make room for her. She is like a beautiful bright ray of sunshine.    Kara is working on her autobiography that will be coming to a store near you. Her desire is that her book would inspire, encourage,and uplift women, teenagers, and men all over the world. She wants to pour her heart into the lives of others. Kara loves to spend time with her friends and family. In her spare time you will find her writing, traveling, shopping, cooking, and making those around her smile. Kara has many dreams and aspirations. She will become one of the worlds most powerful Poets, like the great Maya Angelou!
