Don’t come down this aisle put me back up on the shelf. You cannot entice me with your looks, your fame, or your wealth.
I will not be swayed to your ways of change or your manipulating ways. I tell you to step off, and put me back up on the shelf.
You cannot take me home and break me down and mold me into what you want me to be. I am I, and I will be free.
You had no business coming down this aisle in the first place. I know you get off on control and challenges, but I am not the one to be played with.
You could never afford my upkeep. It does not matter what you think you can do underneath the sheets. It takes more than the physical to woo me.
You see, I have been a fool before but I will be a fool no more. I was bought with a price, and the man who paid was Jesus Christ.
I see you lookin at me contemplating buying me. It is not worth it for you to even try, you cannot fool me with your lies and your foolish disguise, and how different you are from all the other guys.
I know right from wrong. I know the weak from the strong. I speak the truth and I live the truth. I will not be corrupted by your evil ways and your endless plays, plays of someone that you are not.
I was brought in this world to be virtuous, and to be a nurturer. It is not my place to be the trophy that stands by your side, as your ego gets built up with pride.
God gave me a purpose too, and that purpose is to be a powerful virtuous woman. Do not come up in the church proclaiming to be holy and the one, but in the inside you are filled with scum.
The scum from the lies you hold and the joy that you took from all of the others. I am not another notch to be placed on your belt.
I am not that woman that you can get physical gratification from, and abuse me, and tell me the right from the wrong. You see I put up a fight to keep my virtue in this life.
Today I take a stand, and I will not come off of this shelf until God sends me my man! The one who I am meant for is a man of GOD.
He can afford my upkeep. He can make love to me without even physically touching me. He knows what I need.
He knows what I have gone through and he is true . He knows how to fight on my behalf. He does not just fight in the physical, but he knows how to battle in the spiritual.
He can cry in a big crowd and still be that powerful man, only true men cry. He can show his affection towards me and not be ashamed.
He will not blame me when things go wrong, but instead he will ask me to pray for him when he can't be strong. He knows the gentleness that it will take to console me.
He will never call me a bad name, or make me want to take off my wedding ring. He knows who he is and he knows where he is going.
He has no problem watching me grow; instead of watching me, His desire is to grow with me. With him by my side he will carry me through the fire, for He is not a liar. He is a provider; he will make the sacrifice to insure that I am happy and safe.
You know you don’t fit that description, so put me back up on the shelf!
