I was born in Alton Illinois, across the Mississippi River from St. Louis. I escaped to San Francisco as soon as I was able and lived there 15 years begining in the mid 1960's. My last move was to Seattle in 1985. In 2001 I met, fell in love with, and married my wife, Marie-Louise, in Stockholm, Sweden. My writing was originaly influenced by Charles Plymell, who was a neigbor in San Francisco, then Charles Bukowski, Celine, Thomas Pynchon, Kereouac, and Allen Ginsberg . . . also Stephen King. So far this year my work has been published in:Sein und Werden (UK), Kerouac's Dog (UK), Breadline Press West Coast Poetry Anthology, Blue Collar Review, Chntarelle's Notebook, Everyday Poets, and Struggle Magazine.   My greatest pleasure is travel. Have spent considerable time in Ethiopia, Brazil, Thailand, Holland, Sri Lanka, India and of course, Sweden.    

Southern Illinois University - BA Conceptual Design and was privileged to spend a year with Buckminster Fuller who was then in residence at S.I.U. I later acquired a second BA in Psychology and an MS in Education.
