It seems like I have been writing forever, in one genre or another. I tossed out the early stuff because it seemed silly. Now, I throw away nothing 'cause who knows? I recall having Heidi read to me and being thrilled with The Secret Garden and Dickens. Horse books were high on my reading list until I got horses and then never read another one until Seabiscuit. Ideas come when I am weeding and watering the garden, flying down the freeway, or slipping off to sleep. I often think in rhyme and write with alliteration. Can't help it. Today, I write kid gardening books with a plot and short stories in verse for teens and tweens. I'm co-authoring an international thriller starring a female protagonist and some very bad guys from Mexico and the Middle East. My mottos have always been Carpé diem and "I can do that."
