I started my writing career by writing a Gospel song when I was around nine or ten years old. I honestly don't mean this as boasting, but it really was a song. It had a verse and a chorus and, for being that young, was rather good. My sister and I actually sang it in church. Since then I have written a couple hundred Gospel songs. I've also written one wedding song, and one patriotic song. I have had many poems and several articles published and have sold one nonfiction book proposal. Some of these were for the religious market and some, for the secular market. Sadly, however, the publisher who contracted with me for the nonfiction book later canceled my contract due to financial restraints on their part. But at least I know I did win the contract. I have self-published one Christian novel and one book of poems. I am currently selling the novel on e-Bay. In all, I have sold close to half of my initial print run. My current projects are the writing of my second Christian novel and the compilation of a song book. Additionally, I am writing a religious nonfiction book. As time permits I will be sharing my stories and songs with the Authors' Den community. I trust they will be a real blessing to all who read them. I enjoy writing very much, and am really happy to join the Authors' Den "family." By the way, I go by my middle name, Marie.

I've won a few awards, but my most important one is the feedback from my readers. This has been most gratifying and humbling, and the best is their desire to read more of what I write.
