Ever since I was a kid growing up in northern New Jersey I've been fascinated by the tremendous progress being made in the various scientific disciplines in the 20th and now the 21st centuries.       I come from a big family of eight, 5 brothers and sisters.      My brothers were closest to my age so we did countless science related hobbies and projects together in the 1950's and 1960's..      Our dad was a research chemist and MIT grad so he was happy to encourage us in science related activities.     Eventually I married, earned degrees in mathematics and aerospace engineering, and spent nearly three decades in the computer industry in operations and product management before retiring a few years ago.      Our 20 something daughter is now a structural engineer for a major DC area firm. But what really caught my attention when I was growing up back in the 50's and 60's was  the UFO phenomenon.      There was a veritable tidal wave of credible UFO reports coming from pilots, military personnel, some scientists and government officials during this period.      Dr. J. Allen Hynek, scientific advisor to the US Air Force, noted that once you eliminated the misidentifications and hoaxes there remained a clear signal amidst the 'noise'.     Since that time I've followed developments in modern physics looking for a possible explanation of what I believe is alien technology.     In the last several decades modern physics is pointing directly at a likely explanation of UFO technology.     The development of M-theory and its derivatives point to the existence of extra dimensions and so called 'brane worlds' which are the equivalent of entire universes existing side by side with our own.       The theoretical solution to a major problem in physics called the hierarchy problem, for example, provides an explanation for one major piece of the UFO puzzle which is the question of how they get to planet earth from distant solar systems.      Other aspects of M-theory help explain other pieces of the UFO enigma.      Of particular importance is that the proposed solution to UFO technology outlined in my book can be tested.      M-theory and a derivative called Warped Geometry are currently being tested at the Large Hadron Collider particle accelerator in Geneva, Switzerland.     In addition by obtaining spectrographic data from UFO sightings (when there are a flurry of sightings in a given area such as the Phoenix Lights sightings in the late 90's) if we can detect what is called Hawking radiation it will be convincing data on the technology these craft are using.
