Several years ago I attended a training session which was organized by the financial institution that I worked for. As part of a team bonding exercise, we were asked to name one person that we would take with us if we were stranded on an island. I wrote George Clooney and then erased his name and replaced it with Agatha Christie. I guess that gives a clear indication of who has been my major influence in writing crime fiction.I started reading Agatha Christie at an early age. She remains my favorite past author to date as does Ngaio Marsh. However heading the modern day authors is Michael Connelly. Assyrians have for centuries been fascinated and influenced by dreams. I guess this is the reason I decided to have a psychic come visionary character in my book (Cassandra). She dreams of crimes that have or will shortly take place and points the detective Ryan in the right direction.  As most dreams can sometimes have different interpretations, Ryan is sometimes sent on a wild goose chase. Of course this is not always Cassandra’s fault. If she was to get it right the first time, the book would only be 50 pages. I have published  6 Murder Mysteries so far. I hope Cassandra keeps dreaming for a long, long time.
