I tout myself as an eclectic writer because I write what interests me at any given time.  I've jumped from a Young Adult novel to a Civil War fiction and my most recent book is a paranormal memoir.  My next book is likely to either be a non-fiction research piece on American politics or a paranormal romance. I enjoy reading Pulitzer Prize winners with one of my favorites being "The Angle of Repose" by Wallace Stegner.  It's an oldie, but a goodie. I live happily in the robust small town of Culpeper, VA with my husband, Jim, and my border collie, Cogan.  

I don't really like entering contests, but I have periodically. Got an honorable mention in a Writer's Digest writing contest. I submitted a fiction piece, but got a mention under the non-fiction category. I've also been a finalist in the International Screenwriters Assn. contest. I actually submitted a screenplay for that one!
