I started writing in the 6th grade and my Social Studies teacher, Mrs. Boxwell, was the second major influence in my love for the written word. She encouraged me and made me believe I could do this. My mom, of course, was the first and she believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself. I write about whatever God places on my heart. My inspiration for my work comes from life experience, television and the life experiences of other people. I have a desire to write a series of inspirational children stories and a book of poetry for children as well. I have had the privilege of letting people read my work and it bringing them to tears, meaning that's what it's all about: touching the lives and hearts of others!
