My educational background is in Human Services, advocating for the elderly and disabled community and working closely with various caregiving situations whether brick and mortar establishments or individuals, while being on the Board of Senior Services for my state of residence, County Provider’s Forum for long-term facilities.  I have worked closely with many assisted living and adult family homes problem solver.  I have written Caregiving Tips for Everyone providing quick reference to practical solutions to many caregiving issues from keeping patients hydrated to meaningful social activities; advocating at medical appointments and/or in family meetings and hospital situations.  Working closely with assisted livings and adult family homes as well as individuals solving the more difficult problems of caregiving; I have learned the delicate role played by families every day in our nation.    I have supported the Alzheimer Association for greater than fifteen years, promoting the work they do and acting as fundraiser and support group facilitator.   I am a writer of nationally syndicated columns and blog.  I am employed as a freelance writer which affords me the opportunity to continue writing and keeping my skills honed for other work as well.  Currently I am working on another book for those of us approaching retirement.  I anticipate publishing date of November 2013.
