Dr. Carlton Young "The Foremost Expert on Homelessness". He is a dynamic and entertaining speaker, entrepreneur, veteran, activist, philanthropist, and author of the critically acclaimed "From Home to Homeless to Success." He has traveled throughout the United States sharing his own personal battle with homelessness, while raising awareness about its causes, effects and solutions. Motivated by the need to help struggling communities across the country rebuild their lives, Dr. Young took four years to build the Georgia National Alliance Community Coalition for the Homeless (GNACCH). Launched June 1, 2012, GNACCH is a community-service organization that offers participants Homeless Outreach and Assistance; Transitional Housing and Employment; Personal & Professional Development; Economic Empowerment & Self-Esteem Development. Dr. Young is the author of Empowered to Succeed, a personal development series that shares insight into the tangible benefits of constructive thinking. Dr. Young is also the co-author of three books, "Unleash the Greatness within You", "From Mediocre to Magnificent" and "Unleash the Passion for Your Purpose". Now his newest books; "America's Grandfather: Talks about family values" volume one of a five volume series and "Powerful Life Quotes for Success." This book of affirmations is the work of Dr. Young while he was living on the streets as a homeless man. Prior to becoming a celebrated motivational speaker and author, Dr. Young enjoyed a long career in the United States Marine Corps that spanned over 22 years. During his service, he functioned as the Drug and Alcohol Counselor for Navy and Marine personnel and their families. As a highly decorated veteran, there are plaques and memorabilia that tell of his humanitarian efforts that are at the heart of his entrepreneurial career and his philanthropic calling.  

Dr. Young's greatest accomplishments included serving valiantly as a combat soldier in both the Vietnam War and the first Gulf War and, as a result, he was later awarded the "Soldiers Medal for Heroism."
