I've been an avid reader all my life, and have particularly enjoyed sharing stories and reading with my children.  I love the electronic options available now for reading, but I still cling to the days of holding a beautifully illustrated hardcover book and reading with my kids, and I'm hoping to keep the hardcover books as an integral part of a child's experience growing up.  I'm greatly inspired by the works of Shel Silverstein, and have been collecting my own poetry for too many years to recall.  I've finally pulled them all together and published my first collection, Swimming to the Moon, with the hopes of creating an ongoing series to keep the tradition of hardcover books, family reading and bedtime stories alive.
