I received my MD from Tufts University School of Medicine and did internship and residency at the Albany Medical Center. I served with the Air Force in Japan for three years following which I joined the Southern California Kaiser Permanente Medical Group and practiced at the Kaiser Hospital in Fontana for thirty-one years until I retired in 2005 and began writing.    I became interested in writing when I took a creative writing course as an elective and found it very interesting.    I am married. My wife, Ahlene, is a metalsmith and a weaver. We have two sons and a wonderful daughter-in-law, all computer engineers although our oldest son, Joe, now owns a Segway dealership in San Diego. Our youngest son, Terry, is about to publish his video game (called Retrobooster) that he’s been working on for about four years. Ahlene and I now divide  time between Claremont and Cambria.
