Take a look at my reviews from AD readers        I retired from working as a general medical practitioner (family doctor) in the UK in August 2014 after over 30 years in the same post. As a result I've been privileged to help patients who have a diverse selection of health problems, physical, emotional and social and from these come the ideas for my novels, though they are not autobiographical. I love a good story, interesting characters that you can relate to, that evoke a wide variety of emotions and think that the background of medical practice provides the perfect setting for this. Out of Practice is the first of five novels, the chief character in each being one of the doctors at the same family practice.  Faith, Hope and Clarity tells the story of another doctor, her search for real friends and her battle with food. Too Close for Comfort tells the story of a third doctor and how she came to join the practice. Spoilt for Choice is about one of the male doctors and also a very traumatic pregnancy. Change of Mind is a novel about revenge and unrequited love, as the senior male partner plans to retire.
