Someone once asked me why I write Noir Mystery Thrillers, why they can be on the dark side. The answer is simple. Nothing of value or hard lessons are ever earned or learned easily, nor are they found in a frothy atmosphere. That doesn't mean I won't write something comedic or light-hearted, I just believe that timeless ideas are more important to me. Carl Jung developed seven archetypes and I've used his Shadow archetype in developing the characters for my Shadow series. Not only do the villains face their dark side, but my heroes must also face theirs.   The Portrait of Lilith will be released in late summer 2016, which is a Gothic Horror story, and the third in the Shadow series, Girl in the Shadows.
