I was born and raised in the borough of Queens New York. As a child I was always excited about words, stories and how fascinating they were put together. I remember when I first began to learn words starting with- "See Jane run" and charters like Sally and Spot. Those are my earliest memories of written word and the power it had in telling stories and creating scenes. I was fortunate to have had a forth grade teacher-Miss Silverman, who would read for about twenty minutes each day a book that was not really forth grade material to the class. The book was The Outsiders. It opened my mind to a world and experiences far away from me and I enjoyed it and it set me on this trajectory from there. Within me I have a well of stories to tell and wonderful words as well as experiences to share. My favorite interest are the stories of women, how we live, grow feel and love. We are a force that can't be stopped. My second interest is writing on everyday life occurrence's I witness or, feel. I'm drawn to books by mostly women authors that share the triumphs as well as struggles of women who have been on a journey of life and have overcome in spite of the challenges.

As I stated previously I'm a "late bloomer" and at the present my repertoire is short but it exist. I have a collection of poetry and a few short essays. I challenged myself this year and recited by memory two of my poems at a live poetry Slam at an event-"In The Beginning Was The Word". I was so nervous but pushed myself to do it and I did. My performance was recorded and on Facebook . I will be entering in a Writers Digest contest in the near future and hope to win so look for me!!!
