Information
Doug Oudin served as Harbormaster on Catalina Island for 32 years. He wrote a weekly article for the Catalina Islander Newspaper for 21 years, and also wrote for the Log Newspaper, Los Angeles/San Diego. His many years at sea, both as Harbormaster, and as a fisherman and explorer, help to bring his writing tales to life.

Accomplishments
Doug Oudin held a 100 Ton Masters License with the U.S. Coast Guard for 35 years. He served as Vice President of the Catalina Island Seabass Fund, a foundation established to help restore the depleted White Seabass fishery in southern California. During his years on Catalina, he also served in administrative capacities for the Two Harbors School Foundation, and as Vice President Harbor Operations for the Santa Catalina Island Company.
