MJ Gardner began writing the Darkness & Light series in the 90s as a serial on the Vampires listserv. She has had stories have been published in Mad Scientist Journal, Luna Station Quarterly, Plan B and Saturday Night Reader.
Gardner has an undergrad degree in English and Classics (University Windsor), and wrote her Master's thesis (University of Waterloo) on The Vampire in English Literature. S

Information
I blame my mother. She put me to bed too early as a child, and so I had lots of time to create fantasy worlds in my head. The first book to really kindle my interest was Wuthering Heights, and it is still one of my favorites. I enjoy the works of John Lindqvist, Haruki Murakami, S.J. Rozan and Diane Setterfield, and in non-fiction, I love true crime books.
