Shirley Luckado-McReynolds was born in Flint, Michigan. She is a product of the Flint Community Public Schools. Shirley graduated from Flint Northwestern High School. Shirley also attended Flint Junior College, which is now Mott Community College. Shirley transferred to Eastern Michigan University where she majored in English and Literature, also with a minor in Sociology. Shirley earned a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling. Shirley recently retired from her private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Shirley is a member on the executive board for GACA (Genesee Area Counseling Association). Shirley is a member and the Public Relations Director of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. Gamma Delta Chapter. Shirley loves singing in her church choir and the District Choir. Shirley has been a member of Mt. Calvary M. B. Church for 57 years. Shirley has worked in Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, and Flint Schools. Shirley has worked in the Ann Arbor Juvenile Department Facility and as an Investigator for Neglect Cases in Flint, Michigan.
