Shirley Luckado-McReynolds was born in Flint, Michigan. She is a product of the Flint Community Public Schools. Shirley graduated from Flint Northwestern High School. Shirley also attended Flint Junior College, which is now Mott Community College. Shirley transferred to Eastern Michigan University where she majored in English and Literature, also with a minor in Sociology. Shirley earned a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling.
