Now I do it to entertain myself. Someday I hope to do it to support myself and my family. I only wish I could harness the inspiration to flow when the kids weren't trying to make me nuts...  Right now, I have loads of ideas and the one that keeps me coming back to my computer is my series - "The Chosen".  "Demon Hunter" is the first book in this series.  It follows an unusual woman with a dangerous job through an unstable world.  The idea for this book is fully formed, but I've just begun the journey (about 20 single spaced pages so far).  I've also finished six of the short stories that introduce future supporting characters. 

Only the ooos and aahhhs of family and friends (which are great for the all important ego boost, but don't help much with constructive critisism). I've had bad luck with agents and contests - I seem to have an erie talent for finding crooks and scams. :-( Now I'm a little gunshy.
