I live in a cottage by the sea in South Australia with hens, dogs, spiders, some very large cabbages and the sound of waves.
My favourite writers are anyone who can make me laugh. (And that's a lot!)
I've been a teacher, lecturer, tutor, rouseabout, deck hand and biscuit sorter. All fascinating pursuits but I'd much rather be a writer and go to work in my slippers.
Accomplishments
In 2000, I won the Jill McDougall Award for the best new book by Jill McDougall. I have won this several times in a row now.
