Author Bio: F. A. Goodwin (Felicia Alrene Goodwin) was born and raised in the historic city of Philadelphia. Raised in a strict home she often found herself in the house, where she found solace in watching television and reading books. Her natural creativeness allowed her to excel throughout school. Always thinking ahead, she attended Wilfred Beauty Academy during her senior year of high school with the thought of working her way through college. After graduating from high school, she began Penn State University as an Engineering major. However, the world of hair proved to be more profitable to an 18 year old than going to school. After dropping out of college to focus more on hair she spent 10 years working throughout Philadelphia in various hair salons until 1999 when she opened her own salon, Not Too Short Hair Salon. Two years later, she cut her last style and curled her last curl when she decided to go back to school and obtain her college degree that she always longed for. Once again reinventing herself she began to work as an EMT on an ambulance to pay her school tuition. Here is where she found the outlet to soak up her surroundings and pen her debut novel, You Reap What You Sow. F. A. Goodwin received her longed for Associates degree in May 2007 and she will be attending Temple University in the fall. She still resides in Philadelphia with her two children, Robert and Natikwa.
