I grew up reading the works of Stephen King, Anne Rice, Clive Barker, Dan Simmons, Sidney Sheldon, Mario Puzo, Dan Brown, J.K. Rowling and J.R.R. Tolkien. But my recent literary revivval has been inflamed by the refreshing prose of Eleanor Catton, Margaret Atwood, Suzzanna Clark, Matthew Pearl, James Clavell and George R. R. Martin. It is therefore, quite difficult to pick favorites, even if it were from each genre, thus I must decline comparing the creative intellect of one author to another, since each is unique in their own splendor. Hence, my inspirations keep evolving with the completion of each book, with the turning of each page and the reading of each word; for I am but a writer, aspiring to achieve the coveted title of an author. Even if my work fails to reach the eyes of millions, the mere knowledge that it has made an impact upon the mind of one reader, will more than define this elusive success for authorship.
