My memories as an immigrant professional woman in Ottawa, Canada 47 years ago. A new life after having survived the liberal war of a new country Bangladesh on December 16, 1971.
This book has been eight years in the making. It is mostly a jumble of thoughts written down in old spiral notebooks and hidden in the bottom drawer underneath various manuals for software packages and hardware long since turned obsolete.
I was born in Hungary in 1941 where my community was known to most Hungarians as Gypsy. In Hungary, discriminated against as a miority I was disheartened. Dissapointed by the Communist sytem's faliure to integrate the people of my community in to the Hungarian society, at age twenty-six I decided to escape from Hungary and the Communist sytem and to seek Freedom and Equality in America.
Accomplishments
I achieved Freedom.
At the University of Norh Carolina in Chapel Hill I earned my degree in Linguistics.
