Poetry!! I was always amazed at the poet's ability to capture the essence of a reflective, contemplative soul on paper. Impossible, I thought, especially when it rhymes. Little did I know that gift laid dormant in me awaiting an awakening. The catalyst - life's trials that forced me to pour out the exquisite treasure of poems that have the power to encourage and bring hope to life's weary travellers. Ever since that awakening, about seven years ago, it is my heart's desire to write and encourage the hearts of humanity. My life purpose and passion is to identify with the individual in his struggles and help him walk through it with words of encouragement. There is power in one's words, why not use that power to, as my birth nation's pledge vows "play my part in advancing the welfare of the whole human race."
