Why my soul just can't seem to fly
Why when all I long to do is be free
But my heart seems to not agree with me
I wish and I wish upon every star I see
For my soul to fly and be free
For me to know love as it might know me
To be everything I have always wanted to be
But something holds me back
Making me prisoner
Binding me to the walls
But still my soul calls
Crying out let me fly, let me fly
Set me free, set me free
Yet still my heart does not agree
So I cry
I shed tears for my soul that will never fly
and that will never be free
