IMPRISONED
Bound by the chains that bind me to you
That imprison me in your world and keep me from mine
Longing to be free to break the chains that bind me
Freedom is a song that I long to sing
To spread my wings and sore high above the trees
To feel the wind on me
Set my soul free
Free to be me
Mmmm I feeling your Angelou Spirit in this one. I can so her some of "I know why the caged bird sings" yet you've made it your own and sing your own blues song with your words. I definitely can relate to you in trying to come up in the book/literary industry. Thus far I've learned that it's not really about money. Because the money will come and leave like a wind. But its your message to people that lasts forever. So I say you keep the faith sista and let your words sing your story to the world. Peace be unto you my sista and Have a Ghetto Fabulous Day!
