I should have known that writing was a calling for me during my high school years. I would often get high marks for writing essays and short stories. I especially liked the process of gathering information and condensing it for presentation. [Investigative Journalism] is what I pursued as a career. However, I -like many others- ignored my calling and went off to explore the world on my own terms. Writing became my "alter ego"--so to speak. Over the years, I took a stab at writing and even took many courses and attended conferences. Procrastination was and still is my biggest obstacle. If only! I am influenced by many authors, however I do especially like the style of Ernest Hemingway.          

I've written numerous articles for news papers and magazines and received an Honorable Mention in the (Writer's Journal) magazine for a short story--a few years ago.
